Dear iGEMers,

We created the iGEM Forum as a centralized place for discussion of the latest news, advancements, and challenges in Synthetic Biology, and hope you can help us get started by adding your own posts and topics! Currently, the iGEM Forum is in beta, and so, if you find any bugs, or have any suggestions for the use of the forum, please forward them to john at!

Publications - Spreading the word out!

Tue Jan 08, 2019 1:47 pm

iGEMers develop hundreds of state-of-art projects every year. It is natural that some of those outstanding ideas become peer-reviewed articles. A great example is the Uppsala Chromoprotein Collection, a library originally developed by 2011 Uppsala iGEM Team, that received further contributions from the 2012 and 2013 teams and became the cornerstone of a great paper published last year Engineering a palette of eukaryotic chromoproteins for bacterial synthetic biology.

Do you know about other iGEM projects that were published recently? For those of you that survived the peer review process, what are the tips that you would share with someone that is trying to pursue this pathway?

I wish you all a great 2019!
