Synthetic Biology Ecosystems: Asia

Wed Dec 19, 2018 5:02 am

Each sub-region within Asia has a somewhat unique Science and Technology ecosystem. With some countries now having either Synthetic Biology Roadmaps or central committees for Synthetic Biology, some universities either having dedicated departments for Synthetic Biology or programs that support iGEM teams.

What’s the Synthetic Biology ecosystem like in your country? Are there National Programs on it? If not is there an interest by the government, the universities or the industries to be involved in Synthetic Biology research? Or is it yet to be introduced to the country.
